Every December the High Street lights up in memory of Martyn Dawkins, who ran Puckeridge General Stores for 28 years and died in May 2012.
The lights stretch for about 600 metres along the High Street and were paid for by around £4,000 of donations from the village. The parish has turned out for the switch-on every year since 2012.
You can read the village’s tribute to Martyn from 2012 in the news archive.
